Am I missing something? Did I have my funny-bone extracted in an operating so painful I’ve blanked out all knowledge of it? I only ask because I really don’t find Jeff Dunham funny. In fact, I find him offensive.
And yet he gets his own show on Comedy Central after a resurgence in popularity thanks to YouTube, a host of politically incorrect puppets, and a set of fans who would seemingly laugh at anything.
Maybe it is just me here because I know Dunham’s Achmed The Dead Terrorist video is a huge YouTube hit. But I don’t find it funny with its ignorant stereotyping of Islam and Arabs.
And in this preview video for Dunham’s new show, I see nothing that makes me laugh. I was sat bored and lifeless throughout, much like one of Dunham’s puppets in fact.
Ventriloquism is rubbish anyway but when it amounts to one joke repeated in order to offend and shock people then it’s truly made the move to being a complete waste of time. The Jeff Dunham Show. No thanks, I’ll pass.
