The Land That Time Forgot is a new movie based on a story by Edgar Rice Burroughs, first published in 1918. Burroughs was something of a pulp author so it’s no wonder that one of his novels has been turned into a low-budget B-movie.
This is the gloriously crap trailer for what looks like a gloriously crap movie. Instead of The Land That Time Forgot, maybe it should be called The Movie That No One Watched or The Special Effects That Sucked Ass. I’m sure you can make your own ones up.
I don’t recognize any of the actors in the film but that could be excused if the plot and special effects made up for it. Unfortunately they don’t. The plot is basically shipwrecked people surviving against all the odds, while the special effects are far worse than Jurassic Park, despite that film being a decade old.
The Land That Time Forgot may not be as bad as this trailer makes it look. But I don’t think I’ll be buying the DVD in order to find out. That would be two hours of my life that I’d never get back.
