The New York Marathon returned today after a year’s hiatus due to the Hurricane Sandy and the damage it caused to the whole area.

This video takes a look at the New York Marathon, exploring its history and imparting important information about it. Such as the number of paper cups used during the event. See, totally important.

One of the biggest changes this year is the security budget of $1 million, which is double that of last year’s event due to fears after the Boston Marathon bombing.
