Hollywood has officially destroyed my childhood. Sure, Speed Racer was lame to begin with (the visual effects saved it), but Dragonball?!
This leaked bootleg trailer (the final one comes out on Oct. 17th), which was taken as the Brand Licensing Europe Expo this year, shows that this could possibly be the worst live action remake of an anime ever.
When I first heard about the Dragonball movie a year ago, I was actually exited for it. After all, 20th Century Fox was behind it as well as actors like Chow Young Fat (Crounching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) and Justin Chatwin (War Of The Worlds).
This may not have sound since it’s a bootleg, but I have a feeling a cheesy voice over would make this even worse. Lets get something straight Fox: Dragonball was originally a Japanese anime show made for teens and adults with swearing and nudity.
This PG-rated trash is an embarrassment.
