Cult cartoon The Simpsons has taken on cult HBO fantasy drama Game of Thrones with its latest opening sequence.
This isn’t the first time The Simpsons have played around with their familiar title credits. Remember when underground graffiti artist Banksy got involved, or when the characters sang us Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok”? But I think this Game of Thrones version may be their best yet.
Springfield becomes the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, with popular animated town icons rising up as the familiar theme song plays. The crows have suffered a bit of mutation at the hands of the nuclear power plant but that’s no matter. At least Mr. Burns makes a pretty good King Robert Baratheon. Let’s hope he doesn’t meet the same fate!
