Steven Spielberg is lauded as one of the greatest filmmakers of our time. It might have something to do with his varied filmography or the whimsy he injects into his movies. Or perhaps it’s The Spielberg Face. This video explains this film device that you probably weren’t even aware of.
Honestly ten minutes is probably far too long to be dwelling on The Spielberg Face, but it’s pretty cool to see the same expression on several actors in so many roles. It’s almost hypnotic to see slow zoom after slow zoom of those staring eyes.
I actually intended to get out a bit earlier than I did, but those eyes make it impossible!
