The Statue Of Liberty As Seen Through a GoPro Video | Climbing To The Crown

The Statue of Liberty has been guarding New York for over 130 years, arriving in New York Harbor in 1885.

It’s one of the most famous monuments in the world, being as American as baseball and hot dogs. Except it’s actually French, obviously.

France presented the United States of America with the Statue of Liberty as a thank you for abolishing slavery, hence the broken shackles at the feet of Lady Liberty.

This video shows a tourist climbing all the way to the top of the Statue of Liberty, ending up in the crown. Unfortunately, the view isn’t much to write home about.

Still, this is something to strike off the ol’ bucket list, whether or not it lives up to expectations.
