This video shows ConnectU founders the Winklevoss twins being interviewed about Facebook, The Social Network, Mark Zuckerberg, and the litigation surrounding the whole sorry mess.
In case you aren’t aware of the story: at the same time Mark Zuckerberg was creating Facebook, the Winklevoss twins were creating ConnectU, a similar social networking site. The latter claim the former stole the idea from them and want recompense as a result.
The two parties reached an agreement in 2008 which saw the Winklevoss twins walk away with $20 million cash and Facebook shares now worth an estimated $100 million. But they have since appealed.
The latest twist is the U.S. Appeals Court enforcing the original agreement, but the Winklevoss twins are even appealing that. This should have ended years ago, but I fear it will drag on and on for some time to come. Unfortunately.
