This is a video review for Think Like A Man, a movie based on the relationship advice book Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man. Reviews have been somewhat mixed.
As a film this has its plus points. A great cast, a good script, and enough twists and turns to differentiate it in the rom-com genre. But there is one big problem with Think Like A Man.
I’m aligning myself with those critics who claim this comes across as nothing more than an infomercial for Steve Harvey, the book this film references, and the advice this man doles out.
Basing a fictional movie on a non-fiction book is an interesting idea, but that’s about it. Especially when some of Harvey’s advice is questionable, like not ever dating an atheist because someone who doesn’t believe in God has no “moral barometer.”
