There is currently a Thundercats movie being made by Warner Brothers. Yes, the classic cartoon series is finally getting a much needed big screen outing. And about time too.
This video shows a fan made trailer (there hasn’t been an official one released yet) which sets the bar high both in terms of special effects and the cast. I mean, Brad Pitt and Hugh Jackman? How awesome is that?
This trailer was made over the course of a year and a half by a guy using Photoshop and footage from various different films. And it is an amazing display of what is possible on a home PC using commercially available software.
The problem is, the real Thundercats movie is likely to suck compared to this. It’s entirely CGI, and directed by someone who has a video game rather than movie background. I smell a stinker coming on.
