TIME’s Person of The Year: Mark Zuckerberg (Video) | Facebook Founder Beats WikiLeaks

27 sec read

There was quite a lot of speculation as to who TIME’s person of the year would be- many thought that it would be Julian Assange who founded WikiLeaks.

However, if you look on the broader impact that Facebook has had in the past year Mark Zuckerberg makes perfect sense.

I can’t think of a person that I’ve met in the past year that hasn’t heard of Facebook. Since the movie The Social Network came out this year, Zuckerberg has been getting more press than ever.

I was glad to find out that he’s pledged half of his money to charity already at such a young age. Facebook is currently worth $25 billion and I don’t see that number decreasing anytime soon as long as the site remains relevant.
