Yes, it’s another Transformers movie. No, it’s unlikely to be worse than the second, and no, it’s unlikely to be better than the first. So, abject mediocrity for Dark Of The Moon?
You kind of know what to expect from a Michael Bay film: a paper-thin plot with terrible dialog and lots of lots of explosions and action sequences to make up for it.
The first Transformers movie was surprisingly good, despite all this. But it all went badly wrong with the second film, which was horrible, unfunny, overlong, and really not worth watching.
Can Transformers: Dark Of The Moon bring the series back up to speed? I really hope so, and if Bay has taken the criticisms from the second film on board then it could be a doozy. Unfortunately the trailer suggests it’s more of the same. Boo.
