The US President, Donald Trump, claims he is taking Hydroxychloroquine, a drug used to treat malaria. However, some are doubting his claims. After all, he has a history of lying.
Trump spent the early weeks of the coronavirus pandemic heralding Hydroxychloroquine as a potential cure for COVID-19, but stopped when a study proved it was ineffective.
Now, he claims he’s taking the drug, after requesting it from the White House physician. However, we don’t know if he’s telling the truth.
This is despite no evidence Hydroxychloroquine protects against COVID-19. Instead, we know it can cause some serious side effects, including arrhythmia.
