9 out of 10 times, I agree with the Spill.com crew’s opinions when it comes to movies. This review on the new Twilight movie is no different.
Most of the crew (3/4 critics) give the sequel their worst possible rating: “Some Ol’ Bullshit!”
I feel ashamed to have contributed to the $143 million in box-office sales that this movie pulled in, but I have my reasons. My little sister was turning 14 and it was only out of the kindness of my heart that I managed to sit though the entire film without bursting out laughing.
Really, if it weren’t for Kristen Stewart’s acting to save the day I’m afraid that this movie would have been more of a train wreck. As stated in this review, at times I too felt as if the writers were aiming solely at young girls.
That being said, with all the promotion and hype New Moon will probably rake in more than $300 mill when it’s all said and done. Like it or not, this over-dramatic teen vampire chick-flick franchise is here to stay.
