Twisted Metal Review Video | Destructoid Reviews PS3 Exclusive From David Jaffe

31 sec read

The Twisted Metal franchise is back, with a new title exclusive to the PS3 simply titled Twisted Metal. Does it bring the series up to date in a cool way, or simply look and feel outdated?

Unfortunately the answer is more toward the latter. And it’s not only Destructoid that is saying so.

This is the first Twisted Metal game released in over a decade, and gaming has moved on in that time. Twisted Metal has not, and this game is one more for the fanboys and retro freaks than the current generation of PS3 players.

I’m sure Twisted Metal will sell well, but it looks destined to be a critical flop. I do wonder if we’ll ever see another iteration of the fan favorite, or if David Jaffe will take the hint and kill the series before it feels even more lame than it already does.
