This is the movie trailer for a new independent movie called Uncertainty. It was written and directed by Scott McGehee and David Siegel (The Deep End and Bee Season) and stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Lynn Collins.
Gordon Levitt scored a hit with 500 Days Of Summer while Collins appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Here they play joint leads in what can only be described as a romantic thriller.
The short synopsis released about Uncertainty is, “A young couple, in love and facing a life-changing decision, find one seemingly ordinary July 4th cleaved in two by the flip of a coin on the Brooklyn Bridge.” But that leaves more questions than answers.
Even the trailer doesn’t give too much away. But it looks to me like a movie of two halves, with one taking the form of an Eagle Eye/Enemy Of The State style thriller and the other a life-changing decision-making drama.
Which sounds both intriguing and entertaining. Uncertainty is getting a limited release in cinemas in November and will also be available as video-on-demand.
