There are certain things that only happen on TV: one-punch knockouts, gorgeous women who are completely unaware of how pretty they are, and the improbable ricochet scene where an object takes just the right kind of bounce to lead to something comical.
This scene takes the latter improbable TV moment and merges it with the monotonous reality in which most of us live. In other words the guy hitting the golf ball in this clip is not a sitcom star, and it doesn’t appear that he used special effects to illicit the end result.
You probably won’t laugh at the end of this clip because let’s face it; you’ve probably seen it before. You will however be surprised, or shocked even, because this clip unfolds exactly the way it would in some dumb movie. Even the way the guy falls, it’s bizarre.
Who knows, maybe the guy did use special effects. In any case he seems to have mastered the art of physical comedy. Jerry Lewis and Jim Carrey would be proud.
