We all sit riveted to sites like Facebook and Digg, but would these websites be as compelling on the small screen? College Humor parodies these popular websites in this fun video.

The sites may work well online, but when given the television treatment they typically fall flat. The happenings of everyday web users can never measure up to the exploits reported on TMZ, and Web M.D. makes a pretty lame substitute for Dr. Oz.

It’s enough to make me wonder why I spend so much time at these online destinations. Clearly television is the far superior time waster. Now where’s my remote control?
