MMORPGs or Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games have become big business, with the eponymous World of Warcraft the most famous and most popular. But while WoW requires a monthly subscription, some MMOs are free.
One of these is Vindictus, of which this is the launch trailer video.
Vindictus is a hack-and-slash RPG from a Korean company called Nexon. You can download the game to your PC for free and then play online against others, also for free. However, you can choose to spend money to buy weapons and abilities, which is where the company makes money.
The game was released in Asia and the U.S. in 2010 and has built a huge following. But Europe is still waiting for a chance to play Vindictus. Luckily it looks as though that wait will soon be over. I cannot wait.
