“A New Year’s Day promo for Disney+’s upcoming drama WandaVision promises the beginning of a visionary new era for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
“The promo focuses on Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision’s (Paul Bettany) decade-hopping and seemingly perfect suburban life.
“However, not everything is as it seems, as the two start experiencing reality-warping interactions with their neighbors and surroundings. The trailer also provides a new shot of a helicopter flying through a sky that looks to be engulfed in Wanda’s red energy.
“New details regarding WandaVision have slowly been released, though the plot still remains a mystery. A black-and-white image of Wanda showed how the show will incorporate tropes from the Golden Age of Television, such as a married couple sleeping in separate bedrooms — a staple in comedies such as I Love Lucy and The Dick Van Dyke Show.”
