“A magnitude 5.2 earthquake has rocked parts of Queensland this morning.
“The quake struck near the town of Eidsvold north of Brisbane at 1.57am local time (2.57am AEDT) and reached a depth of 16km.
“A second tremor hit around 40 minutes later.
“Authorities say tremors could be felt between Brisbane and Rockhampton, 322km away.
“A number of suburbs were without power for hours, while locals reported feeling their homes shake when the quake hit.
“Just before 7am local time, Energex said there were no reported outages across south-east Queensland.
“William Marks told 9news.com.au he felt the tremor at his home in Frenchville.”
