With residents reeling with the destruction after one billion gallons of coal ash flooded into the river and damaged area homes, people are now wondering why they had never heard of coal ash before and whether or not it’s safe.

The terrible thing about this is that my first though was: I wonder if their home insurance will get out of paying because the owners weren’t ‘covered’ for coal ash damage…

What a big mess all around. Who knew that there was such an incredible amount of this much just sitting around in country areas?

Hopefully they get clean up crews in there quickly.
