While I may giggle a bit at the thought of a drive through bottle shop here in Australia, the drive through culture in the US is having serious ramifications on the health of Americans.
While people certainly save time and effort by going to a drive through, they also gain a lot of weight by skipping those small daily activities that help people lose weight and maintain a healthy weight.
A lack of even regular daily activity – walking from your car to pick up your food rather than sitting the whole time – has been linked to a variety of cardiovascular problems.
So, though it might be a bother, why not try walking next time?
