“The first trailer for I Am Heath Ledger has just been released, offering a candid view of Ledger, captured through home videos.
“The body of the 28-year-old Dark Knight actor was found in his Manhattan apartment in January 2008, with his death later ruled as “acute intoxication”, as a result of an accidental overdose of painkillers and sedatives.
“The documentary is certain to offer a fresh insight into the true character of Ledger, who as filmmaker Matt Amato explains in the trailer, “wanted fame — and then when he got it, he didn’t want it.””
