“Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) are back to save possessed kids and battle deadly demons.
“The first trailer for The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It, released on Thursday, teases the setup and a few of the scares from the Warner Bros. movie, which hits theaters and HBO Max this summer.
“As the title suggests, the movie is based on the famous “The devil made me do it” case, which the Warrens were really involved in. Without spoiling many of the details, the trailer introduces us to a few of the key players, including David Glatzel, who apparently was possessed by a demonic spirit.
“The trailer throws plenty of quick scares and tense moments at us, but the most the creepiest is a glimpse of an exorcism that ghost-story aficionados may recognize as the most harrowing ordeal of the entire case.”
