“As hype built in advance of San Diego Comic-Con 2018, DC was pitching Titans, its live-action adaptation of the Teen Titans comics, as a darker and more adult take on its younger heroes.
“That much is true from the moment the first trailer begins, with a stark TV-MA warning immediately letting you know that Robin, Raven, Starfire and Beast Boy aren’t exactly going to be innocent youths in this upcoming series.
“Depicting the roll-call of the Titans team, the trailer for the TV series starts off with Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites), also known as Batman’s sidekick Robin.
“He’s in a back and forth with Raven (Teagan Croft) amid a dream-like flashback to the tragic deaths of Grayson’s parents.”
