In his second address from the Oval Office, President Obama addresses the United States and spoke about the he set for the withdrawal of all U.S. combat forces from the country. Fifty thousand non-combat troops are to remain until the end of 2011.
Well, it certainly took him long enough, but he has finally come good on his promise to get the US out of Iraq. While fifty thousand will still remain, at least this is a start.
While I am not personally influenced by the war (army family members, but none currently serving), I am incredibly happy for those who are.
