“Disney has officially announced the star-studded cast of their upcoming remake of The Lion King.
“Confirming long speculated rumors, Beyoncé is leading the way as Nala, the female love interest of main character Simba, which will be played by Donald Glover.
“Queen Bey has appeared in a variety of films, including Dreamgirls and Austin Powers in Goldmember, while the actor behind Childish Gambino gained fame for his TV roles in Community and Atlanta, before jumping to the big screen in The Martian and Spider-Man: Homecoming.
“The Disney live-action movie, slated to be released in June 2019, will also feature the unmistakable voices of John Oliver as Zazu, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Billy Eichner as Timon, Seth Rogan as Pumba, Keegan-Michael Key as a hyena and Eric Andrea as Azizi.”
