“Television personality Caitlyn Jenner is worried a court will send her to men’s prison for a pending manslaughter charge.
“The former Olympian was charged in February, prior to her transition, for a car crash that resulted in the death of a 69-year-old woman.
“”It’s the worst-case scenario … the men’s county jail. It is an enormous problem that they would put trans women in the men’s county jail, but those are things we are looking into,” Jenner told Today show.
“”The media want that picture don’t they?
“Her fears are echoed by other transgender women who are sent to men’s prisons, where they face rape, intimidation and violence.”
