I don’t… What… What is even happening in this movie?
Sometimes you hear a celebrity’s name and you think, “This must be good! That person is in it!”
While I didn’t quite have 100% confidence in Jennifer Lawrence’s ability to turn anything she touched into gold, I also didn’t think that something she starred in would ever be described with the words “sadistic spectacle” (quote ABC).
Quoted further: “It’s ironic that Aronofsky and lead actor Jennifer Lawrence became an item during shooting, because it’s one of the most unromantic, repulsive films about a couple in recent memory.”
Sounds like one that’s easy to skip.
