“Ed Sheeran has set another record with his hit song “Thinking Out Loud.” Released on June 18, 2014, the song served as a promotional single from the English singer-songwriter’s second studio album “x.”
“It took 19 weeks for “Thinking Out Loud” to reach the top of the United Kingdom’s Official Singles Chart.
“This means the romantic ballad set a record for the longest climb to number one on the said UK Singles Chart, according to the new Guinness World Records 2016 book.
“On July 5, 2014, “Thinking Out Loud” debuted at number 26 on the UK Singles Chart. It was on Nov. 8, 2014 when it peaked at number one after Sheeran performed it live on the UK talent show “The X Factor.””
