Some people living along the New South Wales coast of Australia are being asked to evacuate the area as a local damn fails.
“Residents near a dam on the NSW South Coast have been ordered to evacuate their homes due to the “imminent failure” of the waterway.
“The NSW State Emergency Services has also initiated an evacuation warning for the St Georges Basin and Sussex Inlet areas overnight, as they get ready to door knock homes that will need to be evacuated.
“Water was spilling over the dam and into residential streets on Tuesday afternoon, according to a NSW State Emergency Service spokeswoman.
