“The family of two-year-old Sam Trott has thanked the thousands of volunteers who helped in the desperate 24-hour search for their autistic son.
“The toddler was found in the Snake Swamp area in Warradale Park, about 400m from the family home, just before 10am on Wednesday morning, 24 hours after walking out of the family home’s front door.
“Many Landsdale locals plan on attending the lake for a candlelight vigil in Sam’s memory on Wednesday night.
“His grandfather Geoff Trott said the family was struggling to come to terms with the loss of their “happy, affectionate, loving child”.”
