At the memorial service for the victims of the tragedy at Fort Hood, President Obama pays tribute.
President Obama speaks well and passionately, as usual, while consoling the families of the victims and trying to give other soldiers hope for a more peaceful future.
I think it is wonderful that the president has taken his time not only to speak on the even initially but also to take part in the memorial service.
There are lesser presidents who would not have done so.
These are the sorts of events that get a population skittish, so I hope that Obama has the ability to bring some calm.
