Rest in peace to comedian impressionist David Frye, who was best known for his Nixon impressions but had a lot of funny material besides that.
With Nixon’s appointment to President of the United States, Frye became nearly as famous with his impressions.
Some of the television shows he appeared on included The Ed Sullivan Show and the Tonight Show With Johnny Carson.
Even though Nixon fading from the spotlight meant a fading for Frye, he kept going and trying new things.
Frye died on Monday in Las Vegas of cardiopulmonary arrest at the age of 77.
May you rest in peace and always keep ’em laughing.
