Oh, Stephen. I so have an intellectual crush on you.
The thing I love about Stephen Fry is hat he is so enamored with the way people work and he is able to see (and talk about) the strange quirks as a species. Especially when it comes to our language.
Swear words are a bit funny in that way, aren’t they? We use words like murder, rape, torture without a second thought or even meaning the literal sense of the word all the time, but swear words are off limits.
This reminds me of George Carlin’s Seven Dirty Words and the comedy in that.
