“The father of Greta Thunberg has said he worries about the “hate” the teenager faces on a daily basis since becoming famous for her environmental campaigning.
“Speaking on the Today programme guest edited by Greta, Svante Thunberg discussed his hopes and fears for his daughter, who turns 17 on Friday.
“Greta inspired a global movement after leading co-ordinated school strikes across the world, in support of urgent action on climate change. But Mr Thunberg said that he was initially “not supportive” of his daughter skipping school for her first solo strike last August.”
