“Star Wars and Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford will need surgery after surviving a plane crash in California.
“Ford, 72, was piloting what appeared to be a vintage, single-engine, two-seater plane when it crash-landed on the Penmar Golf Course in the Los Angeles suburb of Venice.
“The plane crashed shortly after take-off from a nearby private airfield, Santa Monica Airport.
“Witnesses said the actor suffered “multiple gashes” to his head.
“A family member told the local TV station NBC4 that Ford would need surgery for some injuries, but that he was in a stable condition.”
