It may look like a bit of a complicated dessert – especially if you are also making the sponge cake from scratch – but it it so good.
Plus, it gets to be a lot of fun when you are rolling the sponge pieces around in the chocolate and coconut. Just make sure you have some wax paper to put them on.
The one thing that disappoints me with this video is that quite a few people make lamingtons with jam in the middle.
I think that’s gross, but I would have liked to have seen him show how he goes about keeping the two pieces together while rolling them around.
