It’s interesting how much is affected by breathing. You can calm yourself, work yourself up, give yourself energy (stop slouching and take a few deep breaths)…
I get panic attacks sometimes, and the first thing my husband says when it happens is, ‘breathe from the belly’.
It doesn’t dissolve the situation by any means, but there’s always a little less panic when you’re taking deep breaths.
