Transporting crops across countries and across state lines could be a thing of the past as New York leaders are taking an interest in ‘vertical farms’.
Environmentally friendly, fresher local crops for people… This sounds like an amazing leap for not only general technology but food production as a whole.
The one thing I worry about is what it will do to the trucking industry if we no longer need food transportation. That would have to be one of the biggest things that gets shipped nationally and internationally.
How many people will lose their jobs if this goes forward?
