“Wind River is a gripping murder mystery, but the most compelling aspect of the entire film is the cast.
“The opening scene sets the stage and tone for Wind River. A terrified woman runs bare-footed in a vast plain of virgin snow.
“It’s very clear she has run a long, long way. She’s obviously exhausted and suffering from frostbite.
“Unable to go on much longer, she buckles and appears to succumb to the elements, blood pouring from her mouth.
“Wildlife Officer Cory Lambert (Jeremy Renner) soon finds her, and the murder mystery begins.
“Casting director Jordan Bass absolutely nailed this one.”
