“The 38-year-old singer walked the ruby pile with 26-year-old Harry Hookey, a musician nominated for blues and roots album at the ARIAs.
““I’m kind of hoping he takes one home,” Chambers said of her boyfriend.
“Hookey, from Cowwarr, in Gippsland, is up for his first ARIA for his debut album, Misdiagnosed, against John Butler Trio and Russell Morris. He grew up playing music with his five siblings.
“Chambers, who was married to Shane Nicholson for eight years before they split last year, is also nominated for Best Country Album for Bittersweet.
“The mother-of-three was attending her 16th ARIAS and has 10 awards to her name.”
