“Luke Perry’s daughter, Sophie Perry, revealed one of her father’s final wishes with an Instagram post.
“The late actor was buried in a mushroom suit, a biodegradable garment that will eliminate any contaminants in a body such as pesticides, heavy metals, or preservatives — a process known as mycoremediation.
“The suit also slowly digests the body with the aid mushroom spores and other microorganisms. The mushrooms will eventually grow above an individuals burial plot.
“”In December I went to San Francisco with two of my best friends. One of them, had never been to California, so we went to show him the Redwoods. I took this picture while we were there, because I thought, ‘damn, those mushrooms are beautiful,'” Perry wrote on Instagram.”
