Okay. So it’s no big news flash to me that writing erotica is earning someone a lot of good ol’ cold, hard cash. It’s a bit sector and very lucrative if you can write well.
That being said, you can never know what the next big thing is within the broad erotica genre.
Not to name drop, but I was on a forum with Virginia when she started out. And I can tell you for certain that Bigfoot erotica was not in when she started.
It’s all in what you make it. Write what you want to write, and hope for the best.
