“We all knew this was coming, as the writing has been on the wall for quite some time now. Netflix has already cancelled Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Daredevil, and now has axed The Punisher, shortly after its second season, and Jessica Jones, shortly before its third season, which will still air despite this news.
“When it was just Iron Fist and Luke Cage, there was some hope that maybe Netflix was trimming less-watched, critically dubious Marvel shows, but once they cancelled Daredevil, the flagship of the Netflix Marvel universe, after a stellar third season, it felt like The Punisher and Jessica Jones couldn’t possibly have a prayer.”
