““But the dolls were always and forever baby dolls, until…” In a sequence lifted directly from 2001: A Space Odyssey, Robbie arrives dressed as the first-ever iteration of Barbie, complete with strapless black-and-white one-piece and matching sunglasses— basically this movie’s version of the monolith.”
