So, apparently BBC One has a new period drama, and all anyone can talk about is how the guy’s scar looks more like mascara…
“It was the series for which fans had waited 40 years, as a new incarnation of Ross Poldark galloped across the Cornish countryside.
“However, their joy in some cases was rather short-lived, as viewers of the first episode complained of modern make-up, an unrealistic scar and a lighthouse that did not exist in the 18th century.
“More than 6.9 million people tuned in for BBC One’s new period drama, nearly a third of the mainstream television audience, on Sunday night.”
