“We can relate to her bafflement: Rather than release a standard coming-soon trailer, Paramount is teasing out its long-awaited (and certainly controversial) adaptation of the Japanese manga and anime franchise in 10-second glimpses.
“None of them offer much in the way of plot, but we do get to watch Scarlett Johansson’s character—a cyborg-human special-ops officer named Major—as she disconnects herself from a bunch of wires, and as she heads down a darkened hallway, gun at the ready, toward a congregation of bald-headed dudes.”
