“AUSSIE actor Nicole Kidman has thanked Hollywood for finally recognising that female actors can have a career in the industry after 40, saying that not long ago women her age would have been “washed up” at her stage of life.
“In a departure from the #metoo and #timesup dialogue that have dominated the awards season, Kidman, who accepted the gong for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie for her performance in Big Little Lies, used her speech as an opportunity to thank older female “trailblazers” in the industry such as Susan Sarandon, Meryl Streep, Jane Fonda and Judi Dench.”
